This is hard.
I knew it would be.
I miss these moments.
Having community.
Meaningful Friendships
.
.
At the age of 25
it's hard to make friends.
I know I can do it
and will
But, it's hard.
I just want someone who
is ready for me.
Why did we leave?
I'm not quite sure.
However, I find encouragement from this prayer
found on a friends blog:
O Lord God, who has called us, your servants, to ventures of which we cannot see the ending, by paths as yet untrodden, through peril unknown. Give us faith to go out with good courage not knowing where we go, but only that your hand is leading us and your love supporting us. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. – Holden Prayer

"Why did we leave?"
You left because you've dreamed of doing this. You left because you felt called. You left because you are incredibly adventurous people with huge hearts and the ability to share them with anyone and everyone -- it was time that that love was shared abroad. You left because you will be gaining new experiences to bring home with you and share for a lifetime. You left because you're you. And you were ready and able and willing to leave because you are strong, confident, loved, and cherished. Your presence in the states is deeply missed, but right now, you need to be elsewhere in order to learn and grow in a new place, with new people, a new culture, and many, many new challenges. But don't worry; you'll nail it!
The best part?! The community you miss and cherish, misses and cherishes you, too. It will be waiting for you when you come back because your beautiful presence, physical, emotional, spiritual and otherwise, could never be replaced. It's just on hold while you go on an exciting adventure that will ultimately make you even MORE equipped to be a wonderful contributor to your self-made community(-ies).
In tears after finding these photos and your beautiful vulnerable honesty written in words....also thinking that "erin co" is a much better friend and a lot less selfish then I am right now. Miss you so much!
